so i know i rarely update this thing, but i feel this is a worthy occassion. the last week or so has been amazing.

it started on Sept 14 with 2nd row center VIP Cirque Du Soleil, Corteo tickets. Went with catie and phil. Phil hooked up the tickets bigtime. Awesome show - a lot better than i was expecting. Went to Saddleranch at Universal Citywalk afterwards and that was fun too. Mechanical bulls!

then on Sept 19 i went to the Sharks/Ducks game @ the Honda Center w/ dad and brinker. a lot of rookies playing b/c its preseason but saw some vets as well, Cheechoo, Thornton, Neidermeyer, Pronger, MacDonald, May, Bertuzzi, etc. All in all it was a pretty uneventful game w/ the only goal in the 3rd period. SHARKS WIN! oh and a fight within the first 5-10 minutes of the first period. that was cool.

Sept 21 was my birthday. the big 22. first birthday @ home in 4 years. went to Sushi On Fire with good company (erin, pamela, justin, storage, AJ, tim). none of us had been there and it gave us a bad first impression w/ not having our reservation ready, and stealing a table from us before we could order. But they quickly redeemed themselves by giving us free sake... a lot of it. We got 4 or 5 large carebs free throughout the night. Mama sake hooked us up! Also, throughout the night there were birthdays at almost every table. When its your birthday there they dim the lights and come out with a mound of icecream with a fat sparkler/fountain firework in it. so funny. it must've happened 4 times not including mine. oh and a sidenote, Tito Ortiz and Jenna Jameson were sitting at a nearby table too. woop woop! after sushi, we went out into the POURING rain and hit the bar scene where the drinks continued to flow. Beachfront and Sharkeez. realllly good time.

Sept 22 - woke up w/out a hangover. but did have laryngitis. sweet. in the evening I went to UFC76 @ the Honda Center with tim and saw a shitload of fights. Sad Chuck lost though. Highlights of the night, Tyson Griffin fight, Forrest Griffin fight, and being no more than 5 yards from Rampage Jackson outside the stadium after the fight.

so those were the 4 big days. it wouldve been even better if I didnt get sick on Sept 17-today. so i've been sick for a week now, its no good. but hey, my voice is coming back at least. things are looking brighter.

so it's been almost a year since i updated this thing again and I gotta tell you... a lot has changed. let's start wit the physical changes. i got a tattoo 2 months ago and i have no regrets. i got my nipples pierced about 5 months ago, its really wierd feeling, im not sure if im going to keep them or not. and about 1 month ago i started bleaching my hair and then dying it navy blue. i look good. but theres more to a person than physical appearance, and i've seen a lot of changes in my experiences and personality. i met becky 6 months ago and she's really cool, into the whole piercing and tattoo thing. she opened me up to new things and has really changed my life. we are thinking about moving to Belize in November, before the holidays. A tropical Christmas could be fun. I'm just worried that once we leave California she will stop buying me things and start abusing me like her old bf. well hey, its been a long time and its good to be writing here, though i dont think i will do it again for a while. i wish you all the best and i hope your lives are filled with good things. mazzeltov.

i went to the dentist this morning and left with the whole front right side of my mouth numb. ive never had the front of my mouth numb it was wierd. it felt wierd when i was smiling, and i looked in the mirror to find this... haha. the numb part of my lip wasnt responding. it was just sagging there lazily, rather than going up like the other side. it turned into like a cycle. i knew i looked retarded when i smiled with my numb lip, and that made me laugh, so it became hard to stop laughing, smiling. coooool. i get paid tomorrow. see ya.

today was fun.

+ surfed pretty good size waves this morning w/ kekoa.
+ also tried to go rock jumping and it wasnt safe and we had an adventure.
+ but the main reason im updating... tonight i went night surfing @ magnolia in red tide w/ eric and his buddy. there was nobody out and no lights so it was kinda sketchy but it was rad because all the white in the ocean was glowing green. we would move our arms in the water and it would create green glowing streaks. just a really crazy and cool experience. also, the sand near the water was glowing when u stepped on it; and if you kicked it, it would look like green sparks. beaaaaautifal.

ok thats it. see ya. and i suggest to all of you to go out to the sand near the water and kick it around cos its fun and should make a great memory.

so today was definitely one for the books...
started this morning at 7am when i met phil for a surf, northside of the pier. it actually wasnt as crowded as usual and the waves werent walling up like they have been. it was a pretty fun session. but the highlight of it was I GOT SPRAYED BY A FIREHOSE. the firetruck was shooting water out off the pier and i paddled over to where he was spraying it and he started spraying it right on me and it was just really fun. people were probably look at me like i was stupid but i was having a blast. man, can u believe im almost 20. hahaha. sometimes i act like such a child..... actually almost all the time i do. sweet. anyways our session ended at like 11. then we ate at wahoos and walked around downtown. then we came back here and i set up a paypal accoung and actually paid for somethign i won on EBAY. yeah. crazy. then me n phil met mona in newps and checked waves and eventually took her for her first surf sesh ever. waves were so shitty but i think she had some fun.

from there i said bye to phil and mona and went home around 345. then minutes later martha came over and the next adventure began. we rode bikes from my house to newps, to wedge, then back up to balboa fun zone and took the ferry across to balboa island, and biked around the harbor there then back up to pch and over to corona del mar main beach where we met mike and dan and the irvine international students having a bonfire. mind u, on the way there was no bike lane for a lot of it and it was super fun trying to stay on the skinny sidewalks and dodge ends in the sidewalk, while staying out of the way of cars. anyways. we hung out at the bonfire for a little, then climbed over the rock to get tot eh little beach that u see accross the way when u are at wedge. climbed through rocks in the water and i was seriously up to my upper thigh in water walking on unstable rocks under the water, trying to get to a spot that is now our "secret spot". sounds lame but it was a total adventure. then we had to bike all the way back. we left corona at like 730... and finally got back at 915. SOLID BIKE RIDE. we took the river trail for part of the way back and it was dark and empty and creepy and fun.

all in all a great day off. i may still go out tonight but i dont know, im pretty nackered. well, take care everyone and i hope u had lovely days as well.

ive been sick the last couple days.
yesterday i watched 9 straight episodes of Joey while lying on my bed. thats a solid 3 hours of fun.
i got a job too so ive been working. got a supercool boss. he said hes gonna teach me how to bartend when im 21. stoked on that.
not stoked on my sore throat. hopefully it will go away so i can surf in the morning w/ mike. its been a few days since ive touched the ocean. MOSSIMOS for lunch tomorrow @ 1230. all u homioflakistas better be there.
i dont know what else to say. pitched in to get my dad a new 17" LCD monitor for fathers day. but was sick all morning and worked at night so i didnt get to spend as much time w/ him as i wished. maybe ill be better tomorrow and he will wanna bikeride when he gets off work. i dont know. um. i love you guys. stay safe. today i got a new shirt, sandles, and grades.

A- in 2nd Calc class with econ applications.
B in Managerial Cost Accounting.
A- in Humanistic Psychology.

i wanna go surfing now but i wont. ive been riding that 80s twinny i found in my attic and its big for me but really fun. i took out my 5'10 thruster this morning but the waves were kinda walled so it wasnt that fun. tomorrow ima bring out the twinny again.

oh and last night i preordered the new Beautiful Girls cd. i cant wait till i get that. mmmmmmm. im not goin to there show tonight because ive been spending too much money lately. i need to get a job real quick.

well i dont know whats instore for tonight, but its probably nothing. hope ur havin fun!

its seriously like christmas! this morning me and kekoa scored AMAZING waves at 9th street. seriously word class barrels. super clean, glassy and hollow, head high on some sets. just beautiful! AND AND AND this afternoon i found an old 80s twinfin in my attic, so i rewaxed that and am gonna take it out sometime soon. AND my dad gave me his boardshorts i got for him as a gift a while back cos they are a little too tight. AND my moms gonna give me money to get a hotline jacket for the water. AND im gonna order another board from barry tomorrow. AND im going rock jumping soon! and and and. bye im gonna go skate w/ kekoa.

so im half way done with college. wow that was a quick 2 years. good times. got home this afternoon at around 430. unpacked some stuff and had stonefire grill w/ the family. then i surfed 9th street alone til 8 cos nobody wanted to go with me. and the water was warm! wel not warm warm but like lukewarm? i trunked it and was fine. fun waves too and hardly anyone out. i cant wait till tuesday so i can order my new barry board. :) its like a ritual at the beginning of every summer. anyways yeah. im home. its summer. i love it. hang out with me! see ya.

this morning my leash broke.... it was a good leash too. i never even put much stress on it. and it broke like a clean break, not even where the swivel is. it broke where the cord goes into the plastic. On a stupid waist high mushy wave w/ hardly any force. it was a Da Kine comp leash too. mann. now im out another 20 bucks to get a new one. bummmer. oh well. today is my last day of accounting class. hoorah.

<3 i think i'm in love! <3 .....

WITH THE OCEANNNN! been having a lot of double sessions lately. weathers been nice so thats been helping. my wetsuit tan is now completely out of control. my hands and face are black, but everything else pretty mellow. today it was 85º at one point. skated downtown w/ phil and walked around and stuff. came home and went out for a little evening sesh to dump on top of hte morning sesh. a few days ago we had some realllly good swell. approaching double overhead. today there was still some leftovers in the chest high range. no complaints. lovin life, but ready for summer to start so i can make some cash, bike to the beach for volleyball, just hanggggggg out. weeeoooweeeeeeoop! um. i dont really wanna tell u anymore. sorry. i still love you. bye.

waves have been iffy the last couple days but i finally got a few decent ones early this morning in the rain at mitchells. wish it couldve lasted longer. killed quickly by the tide and wind.

i sold an older surfboard recently and got way less than it was worth but hey, its money. i still need to sell my snowboard so if u know anyone who wants a size 143 used only a few times... pleaseee help me sell it so i can get more money towards the twin-fin fund.

but uh. i havent posted pictures in a while, so here are 3 from today. i went to the gym and played soccer in the rain w/ the school team. i hurt myself... but i didnt let the blood turn to a weakness so i wiped it on my face like war paint.

it doesnt matter, because in the end, we won. WINNING is the only thing that matters.

hgahaha. omg that was so lame of me to say. what actually happened was after playing racquetball in the gym i was walking back and hitting it against a wall and i wasnt looking and i stepped on a sewer drain thing as i was swinging at the ball and my foot slipped cos it was rainy/wet and i fell on my arm and knee. man im such a loser. ahah. shhhh dont tell.

i got a midterm tomorrow. SUCK! meh. ima go eat an apple. talk to u kids later!

so uh lately ive been having a lot of fun surfing the eastside in the afternoons. been getting a lot of really fun ones and its been really great to be in the water everyday. but this morning, the tide was super low so i went out on the west w/ don. we got getchells all to ourselves. good amount of swell in the water too. sets a little overhead, and clean conditions. it was barrelling gnar on some set waves too. got a few really fun, fast, long rides. but getting to the point... don had just taken a really nice one and was pretty far from the peak. it was my turn waiting and i look out a little and see a seal stick its head out of the middle of a wave comin at me. i smile and say "hey buddy". then it continues to stare, then goes under and i figure as i paddle over the wave hes gonna pop up close to me, so i paddle over a little bit and REGARDLESS, the bastard pops up so close to me and gives me a dirty look then splashes me in the face. literally inches away from smacking me w/ his flipper. im like oh shitttt! he was attacking me! so i started kinda laughing at first and paddled quickly in and over a little towards don paddling back out. then i look back and see hes doin what dolphins do (jumping in and out of hte face of waves) to catch me. hes gaining on me!! i begin to get a little worried and i look way over at don and he sees it and immediately starts paddling in. im like shiiiizerrrr! ITS GETTING CLOSERR!! eeeeepp. i was semi-laughing, but still a little nervous he was gonna get me. eventually i made it into shore w/ don and we looked out on the retarded seal still waiting out there. we climbed the cliff, and walked back over to the peak and decided we dont have much time left anyways and the sets werent like they were when we first got out, so we went home. but mannnn! the seal was meannn!! and we scored fun wavesssss.

in other news my parents and brother are on there way up here right now and i get to hang out with them, so i may not be surfing in the afternoon today or maybe at all this weekend. but we'll see.

today was such a great day. wow. great weather. went to ITs and bodysurfed heavy barrels onto the sand for a couple hours. didnt have to share the waves with anyone either! wow. so great! all spots were mini so we didnt wanna surf. but man... ITs had some fun sets rolling through. prolly goin back there tomorrow for another sesh and maybe hang out on the beach if its good weather again.

after that we came back here and washed the sand out of various holes and crevaces, then skated all of mission and chestnut to downtown and got some togos for dinner. yummy. saw a magician doin tricks down there, and a clown making various balloon animals and objects. then skated back up the hill to bay and mission and took a bus to campus, then skated all of empire grade to western and home. it was awesome cos there were no cars for most of the time and u could carve the whole road. guhh. GOOOOD TIMES.

I QUIT LIVE JOURNAL!! this will be my last entry. it has continued to waste minutes of my days, day after day for the past couple years. that time can quickly add up. i should be doing something more important with my time, or at least more productive. in that time i could be helping someone or doing homework or even reading a book. if we all did that instead of wrote in our LJs maybe the world could be a better place. or i could just be writing this because im not clever enough and i dont care enough to pull a real april fools joke, so i use this as one. so yeah, april fools?
